E-Xperience
For the last 15 years I have been involved in a range of different research and community projects. As a former teacher and higher education lecturer I bring with me a wealth of tangible, hands on research experience. As a Practitioner/Researcher I have worked in extreme conditions on social development projects in Israel and the Middle east. I have worked with the Ministry of Education in Jersey, Guernsey and Mauritius as well as Ministry of Culture and Sport in Israel and the British Council. I understand the pressures of data collection in the ‘field’ and have a history of delivering research of peer reviewed, published quality.
As well as published work in the field of sociology, with focus on social deprivation, I have extensive experience as a qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods researcher. I have held positions on University Ethics Committees and feel comfortable advising on the ethical viability of community based projects.
I hold a Master’s degree in psychosocial theory and practice as well as a dedicated Master of Research and I have a particular interest in ethnography, biographical narrative and free association qualitative methodology as well as mixed-method sequential explanatory designed projects.
My current research interests are in education, social justice and mental health and wellbeing.
